EdTeacherAI exists because most AI-for-teachers content is written by people who have never had to answer for what happens in a classroom, a board meeting, or a records request.
I'm Dr. Steve Troyer. I spent 22 years in public education: teacher-adjacent roles first, then fifteen years in administration, the last five as superintendent of a district with 2,500 students and about 450 employees. I left that role in 2026 to work full-time on practical AI adoption in education, through Willow Run Group on the district side and EdTeacherAI on the teacher side.
Here's what that background does for you. When I show a workflow, I've tested it with the review discipline a district would want. When I write about privacy, I've read the terms the way someone responsible for FERPA compliance reads them. And when a tool doesn't hold up, I say so, because I've been on the receiving end of too many vendor promises to make them myself.
